I updated to the latest, 6.08 a few days ago. However, last time I remember using the plugin was a 5.xx version.

Chris, try this version of Dragonfly Hall that has the spectrogram removed:

There have been several bugs in the past related to the spectrogram display. I'm wondering if it is high time to throw that feature out in the weeds.

Note that this isn't an "official" release by any stretch of the imagination, it's just an experiment to see if the crashes will go away with the removal of the spectrogram.

No luck unfortunately... Same black GUI and crash after some seconds.

Hey Chris, I think I found a new clue about what's causing the crash, somebody else reported issues related to OpenGL and their video hardware. Please run the command "dxdiag", select the display tab, and send me a screenshot.

Mattias, since these plugins are working for you (other than the CPU load issue), could you do the same? That might help me determine a difference in Win10 system configurations that results in Dragonfly Reverb crashing for some and not others.

Indeed it is the video hardware! I can run the 3.0.0 plugins without problem as long as I run Reaper with the integrated Intel Graphics instead of my nvidia Gpu. I'm also PMing you the info you asked!

Hmm, that's so weird that it crashes when using the nvidia GPU. I think this will take me a while to fix, maybe in the next major version.

I'm on a borderline ancient Radeon HD6950, so it might be as simple as an issue with Nvidia drivers/hardware. Michael, I've PM'd you the screenshots.

Thanks Mattias. So far, everybody that reports the crash and has sent me a dxdiag screenshots has a setup with both integrated Intel graphics and nvidia gpu, so this definitely seems like a video driver issue.

I'm right now planning an update that will not depend on OpenGL, which I think will solve this problem, but I think it will be a while before I have an alpha release of Dragonfly Reverb 4. At least Chris found a way to work around the problem for now.

The only reason I had to switch to the nvidia card was because Reaper had shown some erratic behavior when trimming balance pots and I remember being a graphics issue. That was quite some time ago and it seems that they have fixed it now so I am back to the default which is using the integrated intel graphics.
