I like the mix much better now. It sounds fuller and warmer and the tutti stuff has more impact. Without the previous version handy for comparison I can't say for sure, but aren't the woodwinds extremely dry compared to the rest? Maybe I just didn't notice last time around, but I seem to remember the old version as being wetter.
As for mixing with one's eyes: I recently realized I've been doing that myself a lot and I'm trying to break the habit. Just for fun I was listening to the Phantom Menace score (super-drenched in artificial reverb as it may be) on headphones and it struck me that I'm really overdoing it sometimes when it comes to panning.
