Update
Viola section added, plus various edits. All samples have been re-rendered due to the old multi I/O firewire interface I used for hooking up the Lexicon reverb seems to be on its last legs (it stops responding in the middle of rendering, and throws me BSOD's from time to time). So I had to set up a kind of hackish solution using my internal M-Audio interface and a Behringer UMC22 using ASIO4All to get enough ins and outs to feed stuff to the outboard unit. It works, but it's not 100% reliable and thus some samples have assorted clicks and pops. If any of you decide to check this version out, I'd be very thankful if you'd report to me any broken samples that you come across. Not asking you to go through almost 1500 samples one by one mind you; just that if you spot something, do tell so I can re-render just the bum notes instead of doing everything over from scratch. Rendering all notes in realtime through the Lexicon takes upwards of five hours...
Speaking of the Lexicon, I think I might have exaggerated the ambience a bit this time around. I mean, I think it sounds nice, but maybe it's a tad too much. I had a vague idea that I might try and render a 100% wet version and use that together with a completely dry one, and add a UI control for simply adding the ambience to taste. That would of course double the file size for everything, so I dunno.
New version here.
