Got it up and running on Windows 7 in FL Studio 20. Looks very nice now, and easy to navigate. It's a bit laggy though, when adjusting knobs and even when focusing on the plugin itself. Maybe that has something to do with the spectrogram changing when adjustments are made? CPU usage seems pretty good, too. Good work!

Seems to be working fine for me on Win10 - running Reaper x64. I also see the lag in redrawing the spectogram - I assume it's a processor intensive calculation. One feature that would be nice to have is the ability to double click on a control and have it return to it's default setting. I've always found that feature handy with other plugins.

Thanks Nayrb and Paul! That's good feedback. I know i how to make it less laggy when adjusting the dials. It is indeed the spectrogram; there's a trade-off of how much time is spent rendering chunks of the spectrogram for each UI loop. Clearly it's working too hard. I'll make it render in smaller chunks, which will make the dials more responsive and the spectrogram take longer to render.

Double-click reset is also a good idea. I don't know if the framework I'm using has a good facility for detecting double click, but if it turns out hard, maybe right click will suffice?

Right click is usually used for opening up a context menu of options but you could use it to reset a control to it's default settings if other options don't work. I've also seen shift left click or perhaps control left click. I don't know whether or not there is a standard that most plugins use.

I don't know whether there is a standard either, but both double click and ctrl+left click are very common.

I just released a minor update. Hopefully the dials will be less laggy now. Also, I found that the framework I'm using (https://github.com/DISTRHO/DPF) already had a facility for resetting dials to their default values, I just needed to wire it up. It is trigger by shift-left-click.

Could somebody spot check this on Windows and let me know if you have any trouble?

I tried every combination of shift, alt, ctrl, left, right, double, single click (win10, with Reaperx64 ). The dials didn't reset. One more little suggestion, when the user clicks the "?" button, along with information, license and credits, it might be useful to also include the revision number. I can't be certain when testing, if I'm actually using the latest version or if some cached version is loaded although I did shut down and restart my DAW to try to ensure the latest .dll file of your plugin was being used.

If you run the latest, the "about" text should include the version number at the bottom by the license.

For what it is worth, I also updated Freeverb3 to the latest revision, which has a slight update to the early reflection algorithm.

Edit: Hmm, I think I just experienced the same bug that you described. When I first load the plugin, it doesn't seem to be aware of the defaults for the preset that is already highlighted. Then if I pick a preset and then modify one of the dials, shift-left-click works. I'll see what I can do about fixing that.

I fixed the shift-click problem, as well as a few other bugs reported by folks in other forums.

I'm just about ready to make an official v1.0.0 release, I just need some folks to test it on a variety of platforms and to let me know if they experience any bugs. Please find the release candidate here:

I can confirm that the shift click reset function works on all buttons (yes I tried it on literally every button). It would be nice if it also worked on the sliders. That way it's always possible to undo any single change.

Also, when pressing the "?", the information says version 0.9.5. Just pointing this out so you don't forget to change it for version 1.0 (and I guess is should currently say Version 1.0.0 RC1)

Other than the above, the reverb seems to be working well on Windows 10 in Reaper.

One more thought, have you considered a check box to disable the frequency spectrum display for people who don't need it and might not want the delay that it causes when changing parameters?
