Sorry for putting all this work onto you! I'm totally willing to do the renaming myself. But if you prefer to do it, that's fine.
I mean, if you have time to do it and are up for the task, that's fine, I was just really confused with the last pull you sent because the sfz branch appeared to not match the changes at all and I don't want to break your instruments on that branch by doing the pull with the renamed/reorganized samples you've done already. I can do it, it'll just probably take a week or two for me to come around to having time to sit down and go through the list.
Dyn2 Dyn3 are dynamic layers, so yes, vl1 vl2 if you want, although technically they are vl2 and vl3 from the instrument. Note that many sample sets are reduced from more detailed sets, e.g. a 8 dynamic layer snare might only have 3-4 layers in VCSL.
