Well, as I believe I have said before, if an "official" SSO 2.0 is ever to see the light of day, someone needs to take charge and start working on it. Anyone who decides to do so has my blessing and best wishes. Personally though I lack both the required time and motivation to revisit and update a project that's almost eight years old (I started working on SSO in late 2009).
So in other words, if you're waiting for me to do it, don't hold your breath
