In response to the above post from the Round Robin Wriiting thread, I thought I'd make the following pre-announcement.
I'm soon to release a new (free) orchestral sound font library built from what I felt were the best of SSO, NoBudgetOrchestra, VSCO2-CE, and some Iowa samples.
This has sustain, staccato, marcato for all instruments (section and solo instruments) as well as pizzicato for all the strings.
There are individual patches for each articulation but there is also a key switch patch for each instrument to select between the different articulations.
In about 2 days (I'm just doing final testing of the marcato patches now), I should be able to wrap everything up into a zip file. An official release may happen 2 weeks later, after I build a web page on my web site for this and I use the library in 2 songs I previously orchestrated using SSO (swapping out the SSO library for this new library is the quickest way for me to make a demo).
