Diamond Symphony Orchestra Deal

Hello!

Although I don't compose as much as I did some years ago, and therefore don't usually buy samples because I don't use them often, I'm in the mailing list of a website called VST Buzz that offers special deals on sample libraries. The current one seems quite interesting for people that compose orchestral music. I'm just leaving it here in case someone is interested.

I don't know the sampling library, though. I have no idea whether it's good or not.

Well, dammit! I don't have any money (nor do I, on a related note, have Kontakt 5 (or possibly even a machine capable of running a Kontakt 5 -based orchestral project)).

Listening to the demos, and looking at the list of included articulations, this looks like a terrific deal.

As for the KH libs, I would snag this in a heartbeat if I had the money, and Kontakt. I must admit I've never been super impressed with what I've heard from KH considering the regular price tag, but €99 is a steal any way you look at it.

I took a look at the Wesnoth forum and saw your post about this one.

Glad to see you here, I wish there was more action going on over there. But it feels like Wesnoth has run its course in terms of development, it seems it can't really get any further given its current state of graphics and mechanics, amazing as they are. I don't know if you're on the Wesnoth dev mailing list, but Dave has recently announced a potential Wesnoth 2.0 which holds a lot of promise

I'm not on the mailing list. I go to the music forums from to time to time, and have seen that they are not very active. Also it's been a while since I've last played the game, though I like it a lot.

Remember the piece you asked me to extend? Well, I started extending it, and it quickly became a huge monster. Maybe I'll finish it some day.

Yeah, I remember it. And I remember you doing some really good compositions, though with lo-quality samples (I hope I'm not confusing you with anyone else but I seem to recall a lot of very tasty woodwind arrangements). Feel free to post anything you have in the User Music forum, I'd love to hear it!
