I don't know if anybody around here uses Linux, but I made a project template for Ardour that uses VPO and a small number of Linux-native plugins:

It might be possible to port it for use on Mac, or maybe even Windows, but I don't really have a way to test it out.

I'm still making a few minor adjustments, but it is usable right now.
