I don't know if you've noticed but there's a bunch of CC-licensed orchestral samples available from bandshed.net. They're pretty basic but might come in handy if you're setting up your first VO template. There's no viola section though, so I decided to remedy that.
I cobbled this together from the bandshed.net samples and the solo viola from the public domain FluidGM soundfont, layered with synth patches.
I would love to contribute these to the bandshed archive but as I can't find any contact info on their site, I'm posting them here for now.

Nice to finally have a viola ensemble to go along with the bandshed stuff!
I've been following the bandshed (No Budget Orchestra) thing for a couple years now And have pretty much downloaded everything that was made so far. The person who makes the samples is Jeff Glatt or "j_e_f_f_g". If you're looking to get in contact with him, this would probably be the best way to go about it. However I don't think he manages the bandshed website or the ftp where these sounds are hosted. That would be a user known as "GMaq" who also posts on the Linux Musicians forums from time to time. So you might also want to talk to him too.
