Scoring Central's one year anniversary will be coming up in a couple of days (first official post was May 17 2016). Normally I would say that a community that hasn't been able to accrue more than 65 members in one year's time isn't worth a damn, but honestly... I think we've more than made that up by posting regularly, and interestingly. This is a tiny corner of the internet but I think I've had more enlightening discussions here than on any big audio forum anywhere, ever. So... here's to another year!

I think what we have here is quality over quantity. We're small but what we have is good. I think this forum is just the right place for many who haven't found it yet. I can see this eventually turning into the "free sample composer" version of vi-control.

I once thought that I had enough Scottish heritage to justify wearing a kilt, but then when I traced my family lines it added up to less than one percent, which was disappointing enough that I gave up the idea.
On the other hand, I'm 1/8 Swedish due to a great grandfather named Nilsson, so maybe that's why I feel so much kinship with the Scandinavian folks around here.

Yeah, wearing less than 1% of a kilt is likely to get you arrested.

This is a nice forum. My only gripe is that it's perhaps too technically minded. I'd kinda like to talk and learn more about composing itself, the part that's unrelated to MIDI. I guess I don't know how to ask the right questions. Because that stuff is hard.
BTW I'm Danish on my father's side, isn't it funny with the Scandinavian thing going on here?
