(free) 2.2 Virtual Playing Orchestra - Paul Battersby - 04-21-2017

I've recently discovered that all the hard work I put into the .sfz scripts to fine tune the pitch, volume and panning of various samples, was undone by version 2.0 of Virtual Playing Orchestra. This occurred because I renamed many samples to indicate that I had changed them from the original by looping them, and the custom software that I wrote to help me manipulate the scripts, was now looking for the old samples names.

To fix this, I've provided a patch (.sfz scripts only) that can be downloaded and installed over the previous version 2.0 and 2.01 versions to correct this.

Virtual Playing Orchestra 2.2

Thanks Paul! As always, your work on this virtual orchestra is greatly appreciated. I'm updating my project template to use VPO 2 instead of 1.

Hopefully my library won't be  a moving target for too much longer!

I'm only planing one more change which was withheld from version 2.0, which is dynamic cross fading of the brass samples as a separate, optional,  addition that won't affect any existing patches. I think I finally have it right. I just want to spend time using it in a composition to ensure it works well and is easy to control.

Hey Paul. I'm not sure if anyone has brought this to your attention, but Norton Anti Virus REALLY doesn't like your website for some reason. I've tried downloading VPO and it's previous versions in the past and while I was successful, I had to go through a million "Dangerous Website Blocked" warnings in order to download it.

Does Norton Anti Virus offer any reason? I'd like to fix the problem if I can. I don't think I'm doing anything unusual on my web site that should invite an antivirus program to complain.

This is the screen I get whenever I go anywhere on your website. Usually clicking on "visit this web page anyway" resolves the problem and I can view the website without any problems. But if I were to go the website after clearing out my internet cache, it'll just start happening again. Anyway after viewing the detailed report, this is what I get.

Thanks for that information. I registered with the Norton web site and asked for a re-evaluation. I'm pretty sure it's a false positive and a quick search tells me it's a disturbingly common false positive.

Yay, thank you!
