I noticed that the HyperX caps appear to be painted rather than double shot plastic, so I can't speak for their durability. I'll probably be looking around for something a little fancier, but in the meantime these will certainly do.
I absolutely love how you can select a color for each individual LED with the Razer Synapse software. I've always stuck with red backlight since I've used peripherals from different manufacturers, and red is a color they all can all reproduce correctly, whereas some other colors come out looking a bit different between devices. Here's a cyberpunky, vaporwave type of color scheme I came up with playing around with the Chroma editor:

Yeah, you should totally give it a shot. Heck, if you'd like to go truly oldschool, the classic IBM Model M keyboards are still available I believe (though not from IBM).

I don't like wireless for either TBH. Wireless keyboards are pointless for me -- what am I going to do, go sit and type over there in the corner? -- and wireless mice equals batteries, which equals additional weight. I like my mice nice and light
