I saw this link on the front page: "bigcat breaks arm patting..."  and I wondered what kind of animal you were petting when you broke your arm.

Then after reading your message and looking at your screenshot, I thought: "Three point three two PETAbytes? That's totally bonkers!"

Serious congrats on building plugins that have gained that much interest from the community.

Lol, I'm glad my physical arm is unbusted. No idea why mediafire gave me that much bandwidth for 25 bucks a year. Think I got my money's worth! Thanks it was a hobby spun out of control.

Haha, about eighteen months ago I thought I would spend a few weekends putting together a reverb plugin. How hard could it be? Then things "spun out of control" and here it is several versions later and now I'm getting feedback on beta releases of my second plugin.

Peta-bytes or Peta-bits? The lower-case 'b' often suggests bits (1/8th of a byte). Still... that's insane either way, Bigcat, congrats!

With 5 million downloads, it's only a matter of time before someone recognizes you walking down the street or in the grocery store checkout line. "Hey, aren't you the guy who made those awesome VST's?" ;D

Nice Michael. I love your creativity and tech ability with those reverbs. I barely understand enough to create the most basic instrument VSTs with Maize.

That is a good question Sam. Most things like file size and storage used have the capital B, I may only be 1/8th as cool as I thought.

Thank God for the anonymity of the internet! Though that tshirt I got that says "You should try VSCO2 too" might give me away.

Have you considered spreading your files across multiple locations to lighten the load on any one source?

My library .wav files are actually hosted in 3 places and some simple software that I wrote randomly chooses one of them when the download page on my web site is displayed. So there is a 1/3 chance of any file host being used to download my library. All the file storage I use is free, though my bandwidth requirements are far less than yours.
