I think maybe Impressionistic or Late Romantic might work. The Romantic era was known for pushing the boundaries of the tonal system to the limits, the Post-Romantic is known for breaking them. Romanticism overall was a movement dedicated to putting artistic expression in front of technical "classicism". Instead of creating intricate "clockwork universe" pieces that can be carefully labeled, studied, and examined (e.g. Mozart, early Beethoven), Romantics try to explore the world, people, places, and emotions in their works both figuratively and sometimes literally.
