So how's the Ryzen working out for you bigcat? This talk of AMD got me thinking and I think my history with the brand goes something like this: I built my first AMD-based PC in 2005 using an Athlon 64 3200+. After that I've had an Athlon 64 X2 (don't recall the exact model), an Athlon II X4 630, and a Phenom II X4 955 that I'm actually still using. On top of that, I have an AMD K6-266 and an original Athlon (1GHz or so) in my retro collection as well as an Athlon XP 2400+ that served for some time as my Win XP retrogaming platform until the mobo it was on died just a month ago, taking the CPU with it.
All in all I've always been very happy with my AMD systems and I wouldn't hesitate to get another one when the time comes for an upgrade.
