I've recently acquired a laptop, as my workplace got new ones and they decided to sell the old ones to staff - so I, too, am launching into the Windows 10 universe. I've just started with the fun work of debloating. Anyone got any advice for a faster, more private Windows 10?

I've found the update language to be a little misleading so I've turned the three "update options" off in the "advanced options" of the Windows Update section. In the past I found it was reinstalling apps I deleted during Windows updates. Turning the advanced options off seems to allow all the important stuff to come through without it messing with too much else.

Spybot Anti-Beacon is crucial for privacy. I can also recommend Classic Shell if you're not a fan of the modern tile-based start menu.
