I'm about to upgrade my CPU (got an AMD FX processor from a friend), and I'm worried that iLok and other software licensers are going to think I'm on a new machine. Does anyone here know if this is even an issue?
Physical iLoks don't care what computer they're plugged into; I've for years used the same iLok on multiple systems, moving it around with me. It was actually *almost* convenient when my last computer died, I could immediately download and use all of my iLok-based plugins on my new system without needing to run some licenser or something... although that still doesn't mean I like dongles. XD
Local licensers shouldn't care, so long as the OS installation/boot drive is the same.

That does make sense, but maybe I should deactivate all local licenses to be on the safe side. Sadly this isn't an option for IK products.

That sounds like a good precaution if you would like. However, as long as you own the product, you should be able to get their support to acknowledge the change if it doesn't work out.
