It's been a long time since I made any original music that isn't the result of a collaboration to add music to someone else's song. This one is a new solo, original composition, of course using Virtual Playing Orchestra.

Lot's of cinematic feels in this tune. I like how it builds up and carries that emotive, epic idea all the way through. I assume this was done primarily with VPO, correct?

Thanks! I was going for a trailer or cinematic feel.

Yes. The orchestra is Virtual Playing Orchestra. The piano and taiko drums are separate.
This is very nice! Makes me want to hear more original compositions from you, Paul. Now I'm eagerly awaiting the big battle piece, and the mournful aftermath Smile

It hadn't occurred to me to make a trilogy but it's an interesting idea. I'll have to give that some serious thought.

Careful, before you know it you'll also be making concept albums Wink

I imagine that's the kind of project (like building a sample library) where it's best not to know how much work it will be, before starting.
