I'm champing at the bit to try Bigcat's Kontakt versions, but I'll need to get my hands on Kontakt 5 full first... Oh well.

In any case, I'm working on some tunes with some of the VSCO2 CE samples. They won't be ready for a long time, unfortunately, but I'll definitely post here when they are done.
Thanks for the interest Nayrb, but honestly the SFZ version when used in SForzando is just as good if not better as Sam and his crew did a very good job on it. I suggested it on Reddit a couple days ago in preference to anything I did with the samples. Same goes for Sonatina, the SFZ version is very good.
It's also worth noting that some of the CE samples have already started appearing in the Alpine instrument set as well (just the strings so far), which is another amalgam library for Kontakt, as a (third?) alternative.
It was cool that you participated in the KVR Charity Auction. Awesome man.

I do every year that I can. It's a great idea and a very good cause. Smile
Hi, I'm new to the forums. I'm really loving the VSCO2 sample pack. I downloaded the .sfz files, but I noticed they're not keyswitched. After looking into how this could be done, I was able to create a keyswitched .sfz file for the clarinet with just a few line changes (I've attached it to this post). I was going to submit a pull request on GitHub, but the .sfz files aren't there yet. I'm wondering if someone else is working on this, and if desired, how I might best share my developments? Thanks.

EDIT: I see the .sfz files are on the SFZ branch. I submitted a PR to add clarinet and flute keyswitched files to it.

Hi there, welcome to the forums!

I've merged the PR into the sfz branch- any and all additions are more than welcome as I don't have much time to work on the sfz set myself. Thanks for your contributions!
There is now a single page for all the VSCO2 VSTis.

Sam thank you for all your hard work! When I'm a little less burnt out I'll tackle the 1.1 version. Thank you for that too. I did include some of the chromatic percussion from 1.1 already. Anyway I hope you get the time to do your own VSTi version of the Community Edition as your VSTis are really great looking and blow mine out of the water. But until then hey these will hopefully do.

Thanks BC! I'll check it out asap. Unfortunately I'm about to leave for Thanksgiving and I won't have a chance to check it out until next week, although I can download it on my laptop and play around with it a bit. Big Grin

If you want, I'd be happy to send you some of the VSCO 2 art assets. I actually have a few WIP background UI's including one designed for Maize complete with a custom keyboard (from doing the Standard Edition, which I still need to finish).

-Sam
Thanks Sam that would be great. I must admit to knowing almost nothing about the UI side of Maize, but I can take a look. I'll PM you.

I hope you have a great Thanksgiving!
