Hi all,
then I'm sharing two songs, too...
Just a piano song:
DAW: Logic Pro X
Genre: Piano instrumental
Sample: Vienna Bösendorfer Imperial (without any EQ-ing/mastering/whatever!!! - just play-bounce-upload - I'm really in love...)
And a little bit more serious composition:
https://soundcloud.com/joe-hope/tango-su...nga-of-fig
Genre: Tango
It's a real recording... with real people... I think we have a lot of great stuff out there but this stays (and will stay) the best forever.....
Thanks for listening!
Lovely tracks!
I don't feel confident to give any feedback one way or the other on either because 1) I'm not a piano player, though hearing tracks like Candlelight definitely makes me wish I were, and 2) I have no clue about tango... seriously, is that techically a tango? It's so slow and moody and nothing like I imagine a tango

Thank you, Mattias,
yes, it's a Tango-ish thing called Milonga. There is a lot of slow tracks from Piazzolla too... But to dance... no chance

Tango makes me think rhythmic, fairly up-tempo music. Shows how little I know about the genre

These are wonderful! Candlelight really shows how to set a mood and make the most of simple means. Those types of compositions often tend to be the most effective.
Also, I was only ever really familiar with the typical rigid, stiff Finnish tango, so hearing yours was most refreshing.

Thank you, Otto. Is there Finnish tango? I didn't know about it...
Yes, it even has it's own
Wikipedia entry (which I find a little surprising). Think vocal-driven, accordion-laden gloomy melancholy.
