Out of the track titles, I think Cold Case might be a cool and somewhat fitting album title.
How about Chill Descent or Chill Mirage? Or some other combination of / play on the track names.

Jon would be hilarious. Maybe that should be the artist name.
Jon is actually a piece I wrote for a friend named Jon when he was tasked with writing music for a supermarket. I of course wrote the most generic supermarket music I could. XD

To riff on this and Nayrb's idea of playing with the term "vapor": Cold Cloud.
What do you guys think of this album cover concept?

I went with the name 'Mirage', but I'm still not 100% sold.
I quite like it. I think you should remove the texture on the words, though, in favor of a solid color - ideally that same shade of beige (and ofc keep the drop shadow).
I like the general concept -- reminds me of a 1980's magazine ad! -- though I agree with Terry about the texture. Also, the photo could use a bit of retro-fying I think, maybe some grain and less vivid colors.

I actually intentionally made it more vivid, haha. Wanted that sort of hyper-colorization like in VHS.

How about this? I purple-shifted the blues a bit and added more grain to give it an 'vintage' look and removed the texture on the text-

I like this color scheme better, but I also think it should be more vivid and, as you say, hyper-colorized.
Sam, I think that looks much better. I had a feeling you were actually going for a VHS type of look, but in that case the colors were wrong and it looked too modern. I don't know enough about analog video mediums to say what causes that typical colorization, but the new version looks more right!
