Anyone interested in beta testing the new Virtual Playing Orchestra 2.0 release?

Respond here and I'll send you a private message with a link to the download file.

There are many small fixes and improvements, but the biggest changes since Virtual Playing Orchestra 1.x are

- looped sustain samples
- expression control (CC#11) for the brass patches (see the .sfz files with the -EXP suffix)
- replaced some of the brass patches (see the change.log file in the documentation directory)
- replaced the tremolo samples
- applied noise reduction to various string patches (especially the tremolo patches)
I don't have a ton of time, but I'd be happy to look through it.

Thanks. I've sent you a private message with the download link.
I'll be happy to give it a try if you like. I'm Win 64, Studio One V2.

Paul, may we discuss our feedback here, or would you prefer private messages?

Posting feedback here is fine. That would help avoid duplicate efforts and allow others to comment on the feedback.
I was just gonna ask you if you were planning on looping the sustained samples you have.

What would testing entail? Do you want us to just try to break the software?  Smile

Yes. I have already looped the samples. See my first post in this thread for the main list of changes since version 1.x.

I'm not sure there is software on my end to be broken (just text and .wav files) but if my library fails with a particular DAW or sample player or operating system, I'd like to know that. You can also just play around with the library looking for any problems, bad notes, things that don't sound right. I'll send you the private link in case you want to play.
Thanks, downloading now. I told the people on Cockos who were having some trouble with my VSTis, to check out your Orchestra along with Sam's sfz version. Hopefully we are getting the word out! Good stuff.
